Written Assessment

 THE WRITTEN ASSESSMENT MUST BE COMPLETED AND PASSED BEFORE YOU CAN PROGRESS TO THE CASE STUDY ASSESSMENT AND THEN PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT.

The written assessment portion of the assessment deals with content directly extracted from the Study Guide. The candidate will be given 120 minutes to answer 150 multiple choice questions.  A score of 80% or higher is passing. The 150 questions are randomly selected from a question bank of350 question possibilities.

The Study Guide includes all the content that you will be tested on. Sample tests are included  in a learning path that you will be assigned to with a completion of purchase to prepare you for the assessment.

The written assessment is completed completely virtual and conducted through our third party virtual proctor testing service.  Once a purchase is completed you will be contacted by our third party testing service to schedule a date and time for assessment completion.

Once the written assessment is completed the candidate will be notified in 2 weeks of their pass/fail status.  If the written assessment is passed you will receive a "Level 1 Board Certified Haircolorist" digital badge that you can use on social media and advertising to consumers as well as a listing in the directory.

The candidate will have 6 months from the date of purchase to schedule and complete the assessment.  The are no refunds for failing to complete the assessment in the allotted time.
